New Zealand Tenor Harry Grigg holds a Masters in Performance (First Class) from the Royal College of Music as the Kiri te Kanawa Scholar. During his time at the College Harry performed the role of Monostatos in the RCM Opera Studio’s Production of the Magic Flute, took part in public masterclasses with Sir Thomas Allen and Nicky Spence and was successful in auditioning for the Josephine Baker Trust Scheme. He was also the winner of the 2021 Maureen Lehane Vocal Awards Competition and a semi finalist in the 2022 Royal Overseas League Competition.
He is a Samling Artist, an Opera Prelude Young Artist and an Alvarez Young Artist with Garsington Opera, where he will return for the 2024 season.
Harry’s concert work includes concerts with The Royal Northern Sinfonia, Brandenburg Sinfonia, Nonsuch Singers and Waverly Singers, alongside recitals at the London Song and Barnes Music Festivals.
